Your domain name is the most important parameter in the equation for success.
Domain names are more important now than ever and it's better to get the .com now rather than a .co or .biz etc. If your business becomes even somewhat successful you are going to want the .com and it will probably cost you more then. A few of the new extensions (such as .club) are getting a little traction but I suspect it's mostly domain investors hoping make a good profit reselling them.
