A Cool Domain Name is not enough for success

A good domain name is essential for the success of any enterprise.  Everyone knows this but it is also important to register the same name on the sites where you plan on having a presence.  This would almost certainly include your user name on Twitter and perhaps FaceBook and now even the entities Google + page.  For example suppose you craft replicas of fighter jets out of tin cans and you obtain the domain name FlipJet.com (which can be had for a very reasonable price).  One might also want the user name FlipJet on Twitter.   At first maybe you just put these handcrafts on Etsy where you would also like the name to be the same for a consistent presentation.  That way you look like you have it all together.
